GHRA

IT Systems Developer
Number of Openings: 1 - Start Date: Immediate

General Summary:
Reports to the IT Administrator

Maintains information technology strategies by developing, researching and implementing technological strategic solutions at all GHRA facilities.

Primary Responsibility:
Develop and maintain new and existing software with a focus on understanding and meeting user needs, security, and coding best practices all while setting and meeting deadlines.

Essential Functions:

  • Software development and maintenance.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

  • Must have a strong dedication to customer service
  • Training ability/experience a plus
  • Analyze situations, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions within standards (where applicable)
  • Interpret guidelines and analyze factual information to adapt or modify processes in response to changing circumstances
  • Duties may require non-routine analysis, research and follow-through
  • May act as a resource to others to solve problems

Educational Requirements:

  • Experience with standard software applications, including MS Office, Windows. May require database management skills with ability to produce reports. Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires little physical effort.
  • May require occasional lifting or moving lightweight or average weight material, typically less than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work under stress during peak workload periods.
  • Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements

Greater Houston Retailers Alliance - Warehouse and Distribution

Replenishment Specialist (Re-Buyer)
Number of Openings: 1 - Start Date: Immediate

General Summary:
Reports to the Inventory Manager

Manages Purchase Order process in order to restock or replenish warehouse inventory as it draws down due to member purchases.

Primary Responsibility:
The Replenishment Specialist position manages assigned categories with major responsibilities in achieving and maintaining a 95% service level, while also achieving budgeted inventory levels within a multi-deadline driven environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages a specific vendor book, assigned categories, to deliver a 95% total fill for our members.
  • Manages in full compliance and utilization of our Royal 4 warehouse inventory management system.
  • Maintains and manages profitable inventory to achieve budgeted levels.
  • Ensures no loss to margin with 100% accurate Purchase Orders, maximizing buy-in opportunities.
  • Manages replenishment process to ensure seasonal ordering, holiday sales protection, manages trade show and special promotional activity and sales.
  • Develops strong relationships with vendors and manufacturer’s shipping departments to facilitate the efficient flow of product and scheduling of deliveries.

Experience and Skills:

  • 2-3 years retail/wholesale purchasing experience with manufacturers and distributors.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is primarily sedentary in nature.

Shipping Clerk
Number of Openings: 1 - Start Date: Immediate

General Summary:
Reports to the Shipping Manager

The Shipping Clerk will be primarily responsible for providing support to the Shipping Manager by ensuring all operational tasks are being execute on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibility:
The Shipping Clerk will work hand in hand with the Shipping Manager to ensure all shipping tasks are being executed and all shipping employees are being provide the tools they need to be successful.

Essential Functions:

  • Run a team of 30+ employee’s, including validators, order selectors, stockers, and forklift operators.
  • Make sure all orders and labels are printed and stapled correctly.
  • Organize the orders so the order selectors can start picking while the routes are being made.
  • Once the route sheets are in, put all orders in line with their perspective routes, so all stops for each route are done in a timely manner to be validated then loaded.
  • Must be able to assist all order selectors with problems: i.e. inventory, systematic, labels, and location of all products.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all products and their locations.
  • Must ensure that all order selectors have the equipment they need to work, and make sure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Must ensure all orders are palletized correctly on the dock, and all orders have invoices on them with the correct pallet shipping label.
  • Once all orders are complete, team must ensure that all orders get loaded onto the proper truck in a timely and organized manner to reduce freight damage while loading.
  • Make sure all bulk locations (i.e. water, oil and redbull) stay fully stocked at night, and restock those locations if necessary.
  • Shipping Clerk must know how to work all MHE. i.e. walking electric jack, single riding jack, double riding jack.
  • Collaborate with the Tobacco room to make sure everything is stocked, the promos are going out, and there are no problems in the tobacco room.
  • Must have an open mind and think outside the box for all problems.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to the shipping team.

Experience and Skills:

  • Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint working knowledge
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Ability to multi task effectively
  • Cross functional experience

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • May be standing or sitting for extend period of times.
  • Communications with management and employees throughout the night.
