Customer Service Manager
Number of Openings: 1 - Start Date: Immediate

General Summary:
Reports to Operations Manager

Accountable for the retail and customer service operations within the tobacco and grocery departments. Manages, trains and develops all floor and frontend employees. Manages all customer needs. Responsible for maintaining a full staff of Customer Service team, floor team, cashiers and carry out. Ensures that the warehouse floor and front areas are staffed and clean at all times.

Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for all daily retail operations. Trains and develops all front end employees. Fosters a clean and safe work environment. Ensures customers are 100% satisfied with their shopping experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
  • Directs and supervises employees engaged in sales, inventory stocking, reconciling cash receipts and performing services for customers
  • Monitors sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods
  • Responsible for all monetary activities including distribution of money trays
  • Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales
  • Trains front end staff and evaluate their performance
  • Assigns employees to specific duties
  • Enforces safety, health, and security rules
  • Ensures product is correctly priced and registers function properly
  • Performs customer service center duties including; money orders, phone cards, gift cards, account payments and merchandise returns
  • Answers customers' questions about merchandise and advises customers on merchandise selection
  • Ensures clean and operable check-stands and maintains shopping carts

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 yrs experience managing in a retail environment
  • Skilled in managing money and performing transactions
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, customers, and vendors
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrates strong people skills

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • May be standing or sitting for extend period of times
  • Extended period of time working in front of computer monitor
  • Some days of prolonged walking
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Cashier
Number of Openings: 1 - Start Date: Immediate

General Summary:
Reports to Front End Manage

Accurately process sales and payments for goods/services and provide receipts to customers.

Primary Responsibility:
Ensures accurate scanning of all items being purchased. Responsible for handling all payments and transactions correctly. Accountable for accurately balancing cash tray daily.

Essential Functions:

  • Greets and acknowledges each customer
  • Assists customers where possible
  • Provides answers to product and payment-related queries
  • Refers customers to the right person to answer queries and deal with any problems
  • Process payments according to company procedure
  • Issues receipts for payments received
  • Accurately calculates discounts and special offers
  • Stays up to date on all promotions and special offers
  • Balances sales and receipts according to company procedure
  • Maintains accurate records of transactions
  • May be required to assist in other areas such as shelf stocking, product display, pricing and clean-up

Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to complete assigned shifts
  • Desire to grow in job, good judgment, adaptability, and organized
  • Basic mathematical knowledge
  • Some experience dealing with money preferable

Order Selector
Number of Openings: 1 - Start Date: Immediate

General Summary:
Reports to the Puller Supervisor

Accountable for selecting items for customers orders in a timely and accurate manner.

Primary Responsibility:
Selects and picks each item in accordance with standard procedures. Places selected items in assigned loading areas. Ensures a safe and clean work environment to prevent injuries.

Essential Functions:

  • Transfers electronically selected orders into distribution bins
  • Maintains assigned equipment
  • Moves merchandise from selection area to loading area
  • Responsible for meeting company standards for productivity
  • Responsible for maintaining quality control on all products handled
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

  • Preferred minimum 1 year experience in warehouse operations
  • Certified on all equipment necessary to perform duties
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged walking and standing for 8 continuous hours including but not limited to a concrete or tile surface
  • Product replenishing which includes frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing and pulling
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Stocker
Number of Openings: 1 - Start Date: Immediate

General Summary:
Reports to the Receiving Supervisor

Accountable for replenishment and upholding the quality and standards of goods in the store.

Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for the flow of merchandise from the point of delivery to the sales floor or internal destination. Also responsible for unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise. Ensures that products are easily accessible, visually appealing, and constantly available.

Essential Functions:

  • Enhances the brand image of both the products and the store, and positively impact the customer experience
  • Ensures that all items are stocked and area is ready for customers to shop
  • Ensures that warehouse is clean and safe to shop
  • Sorts grocery items and assigns them with relevant labels and price tags
  • Stacks goods in an organized manner in the store shelves
  • Maintains replenishment of products in a timely manner
  • Keeps products rotated and maintains product quality
  • Ensures perishable goods are stored at the appropriate temperature
  • Maintains regular inventory counts.
  • Prominently displaying promotional offers
  • Reports damages and discrepancies to the supervisor
  • Co-coordinating work functions with the sales team and other departments
  • Fronting and facing products

Experience and Skills:

  • 2-3 years' experience working with scanners and in a large distribution company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage time, meet targets and work in a team
  • In compliance with the food and safety regulations

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:
